HOW LONG HAS HUFCO BEEN IN BUSINESS?

  • Hufco was established in 1977 as an extension of Parker Hannifin in Houston, TX

  • The company first began operating under the name Houston Fluid Connectors

  • Current owners have been operating under the name Stacey Supply dba Hufco since 1991

does hufco offer vendor managment inventory?

  • Yes we do. Simply talk with your rep for details

Who is Hufco’s preferred carrier for shipping?

  • Standard shipments and not local – FedEx

  • Rush orders and local – Favors For a Price

does hufco quote freight?

  • Not at this time

does hufco ship internationally?

  • Currently we do not ship internationally but we do ship to freight forwarders

Does Hufco acknowledge all purchase orders?

  • If ordered electronically, yes

  • If not ordered electronically, yes upon request

Can i get a manufacturer test report (mtr) or certificate of conformance (coc)?

  • Yes if available from the manufacturer

  • Yes if requested at time of quote

  • Note that some manufacturers charge a fee

does hufco offer asset management?

  • Yes, we offer a variety of tags such as cardboard & wire, plastic labels, and metal tags

  • We also offer Parker Tracking System (PTS) labels

  • We tag every production assembly with PTS

Why did the hose not come in the “exact” footage i ordered?

  • Bulk hose is considered “long length product” just like wire, cable & rope

  • Industry standard is +/- 10%

  • Customers can request “exact lengths” at time of quote

What safety factor (SF) does Parker hose have?

  • The safety factor depends on the hose and the application. For example, reputable rubber hydraulic hose carry a 4:1 SF whereas steam hose has a 10:1 SF and most waterblast hoses are 2.5:1

Does hufco sell equipment?

  • Yes, we sell hose crimping equipment, flaring and flanging tools, tube benders, diagnostic equipment, filtration carts and oil analysis equipment

does hufco rent equipment?

  • No, we do not rent equipment at this time

does hufco offer/sell metal hose?

  • Yes, we have options based on your applications

Can hufco supply autoclave products rated for sour gas (h2s) service?

  • Yes, many products from Autoclave are rated for H2S. Contact your local sales rep for more details.

I don’t see the fitting i need in the catalog, what do i do now?

  • First step is to check out the electronic catalog by clicking Catalog above

    (the electronic version is kept current)

  • Request a “special” from your local sales rep or from our inside sales team

What information is needed to pick out the right part for my application?

  • S - Size (size of hose, coupler, port, etc….)

  • T - Temperature (fluid temp and environment)

  • A - Application (how is this part being used)

  • M - Media (what is running through the part/hose)

  • P - Pressure (inside pressure and outside pressure)

  • E - Ends (what type of end connection is required)

  • D - Delivery (when do you need them)

What information does hufco need to help me determine the right hose for my subsea application?

  • There are several factors to consider. Here are a few:

    • What pressure rating do you require?

    • What is the maximum depth the hose may be used?

    • Will the hose ever be void/empty?

    • What fluid/media will be used in the hose?
